The Supreme Court of Zimbabwe has ruled in favor Businessman Wicknell Chivhayo’ s Intratrek in a case where the Power Utility was seeking to overturn a High Court ruling delivered in Chivhayo’ s favor by Honourable Justice Msithu.
In a statement the Zimbabwe Power Company said,” Contrary to what some online publications have said…the judgement only gives an order for specific performance which in simple terms requires parties to perform their respective obligations under the EPC contract. “
” The legal implications of the judgement is that the ZPC and Intratrek will revert to the position that they were before 23 rd April 2018 when the EPC contract was cancelled. “
The ZPC further said the judgement doesn’ot place further liability on the ZPC.
