ZMF denounces voice purpoting to be Rushwaya circulating on social media

The Zimbabwe Miners Federation has denounced a voice purpoting to be its President Henrietta Rushwaya and has dissociated itself and her from the audio that has gone viral following the publishing of documentary “Gold Mafia 1″ by news channel A Jazeera.
In a press statement released today the ZMF said the audio was fake, malicious and meant to tarnish the organisation’s image and that of its President Henrietta Rushwaya.

Board is hereby denouncing an audio circulating on social media platforms
purporting to be that of The ZMF President Henrietta Rushwaya. The
audio is meant to tarnish the image of the ZMF President and that of the
organisation.
“The ZMF Constitution article 12.1.2 precludes its leadership from
actively participating in politics. The ZMF is an apolitical organisation and you are advised to disregard that fake, malicious and mischievous audio. Please be guided accordingly” the ZMF said in a statement signed by its CEO Wellington Takavarasha
After the publication of the Al-Jazeera documentary, this is the first official response from the Zimbabwe Miners Federation regarding the issue.
