ZIMAA Chair Maboreke facilitates donation of Soccer equipment to Budiriro Constituency

Zimbabwe Community Association in Australia NSW, Chairman Oliver Zvinaiye Maboreke has facilitated a donation of soccer equipment worth over $250,000 from his local soccer Club Ropes Crossing Strikers here in Western Sydney NSW. The equipment was handed over to a visiting Paliamentary Budiriro Constituancy delegation leg by MP Darlington Chigumbu on Monday. The equipment is part ofa sports consignment that will help develop junior soccer program in the Harare Budiriro Constituency, with a state of the art sports complex planned to be developed being supported by the Blacktown City Council Australia.


Speaking after the handover, Ropes Crossing Strikers club President, Adam Harters said he hopes the equipment wil be put to good use adding there is scope for further partnerships and exchange programs.
The parliamentary delegstion has been visiting Australia at the invitation of the Blacktown MP Stephen Bali and the Blacktown City Council.


Mr Maboreke stated that this was a ground breaking initiative and was hoping to spread this to other areas in Zimbabwe particularly to rural areas where the need is biggest.
