Zimbabwe’s Minister of State Addresses International Trade Forum in Shanghai

Honourable Owen Ncube, the Minister of State for Provincial Affairs and Devolution in Zimbabwe, delivered a speech at the 2024 International Trade and Economic Globalization Forum in Shanghai, China.
He expressed his gratitude for being invited as a special foreign guest speaker at this significant event, which is part of the 7th Edition of the China International Import Expo.
Ncube highlighted the theme of the forum, “Jointly shaping the future of Global Economic Cooperation,” emphasizing the importance of inclusive development. He quoted Zimbabwe’s President, Dr. Emmerson Mnangagwa, who advocates for a development approach that ensures no one is left behind.
The Minister praised President Xi Jinping for promoting strong South-South Cooperation, which has roots in the shared history of both nations during their liberation struggles. He acknowledged the efforts made by China in fostering mutual respect and global development.
He concluded by thanking the Preparatory Committee of the forum and the People’s Republic of China for their efforts in creating an environment that encourages collaboration and development among nations.
