Police investigates mysterious murder cases

Zimbabwe Republic Police is on an intensive investigation of what
seems to be one of the most gruesome and mysterious murder cases of
Lovemore Marume, a resident of Mbizo and a yet to be identified woman.

Emmanuel Mahoko has confirmed receiving reports of the two cases.
“We are investigating a murder where a 64-year-old man and an unknown
female adult were
found dead along Ruvimbo road, Mbizo in Kwekwe. The bodies were
discovered on the 16 May 2023 at around 2020 hours by passers-by.”
“First to be discovered was the body of the female adult while lying
in a pool of blood in the middle of the road. A report was made at ZRP
Mbizo,”he said.
During scene attendance, Insp. Mahoko said police were informed by a
passing motorist that there was another body of a man, lying in the
middle of the same road, about 100 metres away. The bodies were in
inspected and Police observed that both bodi had several stab wounds.
“The man body was positively identified as that of Lovemore Marume, a
Resident of Mbizo. He was last seen by his wife on 16 May 2023 around
1600 hours on his way to church. The female body has not been
identified yet. The motive of the killings are not known, “he added.
Insp. Mahoko was quick to appeal to members of the public with any
information that may assist in the arrest of perpetrators of these
crimes and those who may know the identity of the deceased female to
approach any nearest police station.
