Nominations for this year’s Zim Achievers Australia Awards have closed as preparations for the awards ceremony and gala gather momentum.
Sponsored by Frontier Wealth Group, the annual awards are meant to honour outstanding Zimbabweans in the whole of Australia and Asia.With the close of Nominations,voting commenced immediately.
The awards have 12 contestable categories which are ,Young Achievers Awards, sports, culture and fashion personality of the year, Media Personality and media outlet of the year, Social influencer and people’s choice ,Artist of the year,Community Champion of the year, Start up /Entrepreneur of the year, Business organisation of the year,Mental and wellbeing Advocacy and Service award, Disability Advocacy and service award ,and Philanthropic Leadership award.
Notable Nominations include veteran popular musicians Audius Mtawarira, Lee Mabasa Ziyambi, both battling it out for the top artist award.
Other notable Nominations are Oliver’ Maboreke, ( Ahava Director), Dr Thembi Dube, founder of Langdentity, Young footballer Richard Nkomo, Budding musician Lynette Moyo, and podcaster Admire Maira.
Meanwhile the voting link is available on the Zim Achievers Awards website. Voting closes on the 22nd October at midnight with the awards ceremony pencilled for the Hilton Hotel in Sydney on the 11th of November 2023.
