Women’s month a springboard for action and progress to women

The month of March is a special month for women, it is when they commemorate the international women’s day on the 8th of March, during this month the world will be celebrating the success women.
In an interview with Zivai community empowerment Trust (ZICET) Programs manager Shawn Tashinga Jeranyama, he told this publication that the month of March has been a month of celebration and empowerment, and they have seen some amazing achievements by women in their community.
“The month of march has been a month of celebration and empowerment, and we have seen some amazing achievements by women in our community ,we are not going to stop empowering and celebrating women this month because we say women’s month but we advocate for women 365 days a year,” said Jeranyama
He further said that they are urging the nation to continue to use this month as a springboard to continued action and progress, and work together to create a world where women are treated with the respect and dignity they deserve.
Jeranyama said during the month of March, their organization implemented a number of programs aimed at inspiring women to take action on environmental management and climate change and their programs were aligning with the campaign theme for women’s month ‘inspire inclusion ’.
He further said that they have hosted workshops focused on teaching women about the importance of sustainable practices and how they can make a difference in their own communities and that they have also organized a number of tree planting events, where women were encouraged to participate and learn about the importance of reforestation.
