President Emmerson Mnangagwa will officially open the Zimbabwe Miners Federation Annual General Conference slated for the 6 – 7 July 2023 at the Gweru Business Conference Centre ,Kwedu News can reveal. This year’ s Conference and AGM will run under the theme ” Responsible Mining :A catalyst for Sustainable Economic Development “
In a statement, the ZMF says” . The core of this event is designed to strategically gather together the artisanal, small scale miners, large
scale miners and key stakeholders to meet and connect with investors, service providers stakeholders and policy makers and holistically align the artisanal and small scale miners in
the mainstream economy in a most sustainable and rational manner…”
The Annual Zimbabwe Miners Federation General Meeting, and ZMF Conference and Exhibitions Series is Zimbabwe’s only premium artisanal and small scale mining investment forum/platform and has full participation of over 100 ZMF affiliate associations, both at district and regional level, individual artisanal and small scale miners, financiers/investors.
In addition ,it provides networking platforms between the artisanal and small scale miners, service providers. stakeholders, policy makers and Chamber of Mines of Zimbabwe members.
In a statement to Kwedu News, ZMF Chief Executive Officer William Takavarasha said as part of the proceedings at the AGM, the delegates would break into thematic sessions based on mineral sector groupings which are :

..Semi-precious and industrial minerals
..Youth in Mining
Women in Mining and Gender Issues
..Mining suppliers and service providers
..Legislative and Policy Issues
..Investment opportunities in the ASM sector
“Key note speakers are industry leaders and experts that will provide new perspectives on key issues and concerns of the artisanal and small scale mining sector and share cuting edge content and insights on the mining landscape. The invited Guest Speaker is His Excellency The President of the 2nd Republic of Zimbabwe Cde ED Mnangagwa. ” Mr Takavarasha said.
Meanwhile ,a mining exhibition will run concurrently with the AGM and the exhibitors are expected to demonstrate or showcase the very latest technology,equipment, solutions and innovations to the ASM buyers while the miners, and stakeholders are expected to take this opportunity to expand strategic connections, launch new products and forge new business partnerships at the event.
