Minister Ncube delivers ICT equipment to enhance learning at Gomo Primary

Gomo Primary School in Chiwundura has benefited from the Presidential Schools Computerisation Programme, receiving ICT equipment worth 20 laptops, a printer, projector, and whiteboard. Minister of State Owen Ncube handed over the equipment, highlighting the government’s efforts to modernize the education sector and promote E-learning.

The donation aligns with Education 5.0, which aims to strengthen universal access to education and eliminate the burden of textbooks. The equipment will help learners fit into the fourth industrial revolution and produce graduates fit for industry and job creation.

Minister Ncube applauded President Mnangagwa’s efforts towards connectivity, including the approval of Starlink satellite-based internet provider, ensuring fast and reliable connectivity. He encouraged learners to utilize the laptops and take their studies seriously.

This donation is part of a larger initiative, with several schools in Midlands Province receiving ICT equipment, including Riverside Primary, Nashville High, Chiedza Primary, and Gomo Primary.
Minister Ncube handed over ICT equipment to Gomo Primary School, stating that it will modernize the education sector and prepare learners for the fourth industrial revolution. The laptops are part of a broader strategy to construct and equip model schools with Science and Computer laboratories across the province.

The donation aims to produce graduates fit for industry and job creation, leveraging cyber and physical systems to accelerate knowledge and resource-driven industrialization. Minister Ncube commended President Mnangagwa’s efforts to improve connectivity through the licensing of Starlink satellite-based internet provider, ensuring fast and reliable connectivity.

The Minister encouraged learners to utilize the laptops and take their studies seriously. This donation is part of a larger initiative, with several schools in Midlands Province receiving ICT equipment, including Riverside Primary, Nashville High, Chiedza Primary, and Gomo Primary, fulfilling President Mnangagwa’s pledge during the launch of the Bandwidth Cloud Services Zimbabwe Optic Fibre Network project in Somabhula on March 7.
