Midlands Province gets a boost with new 17-seater staff bus

The Midlands Province has taken a significant step towards improving service delivery with the commissioning of a new 17-seater staff bus. Honourable Owen Ncube, Minister of State for Provincial Affairs and Devolution, officiated the ceremony, praising the Second Republic’s commitment to enhancing working conditions for civil servants.
“The acquisition of this bus demonstrates our government’s unwavering dedication to addressing transportation challenges faced by our civil servants,” said Minister Ncube. “This milestone development is a testament to our strategic policy shift towards strengthening service delivery.”
The minister highlighted the government’s efforts to empower provinces and districts through devolution and decentralization. “We are committed to leaving no one and no place behind,” he emphasized.
Minister Ncube also commended the government’s provision of essential vehicles to various districts, including service vehicles for the Ministry of Health and Child Care, ambulances, and fire tenders to local authorities.
He urged government entities to take care of public assets, citing the need to diligently perform assigned duties. “Improved service delivery is crucial in modernizing and industrializing our economy,” he stressed.
The commissioning of the new bus is expected to improve community mobilization and support national events and aspirations. Minister Ncube concluded, “Let us appreciate and complement government efforts to transform the livelihoods of communities.”
