The atmosphere was electric as anticipation built for Mhere’s performance. The renowned musician took to the stage, and the crowd responded with an energy that was palpable. His charismatic presence and soulful melodies immediately captivated the audience, sparking a dynamic fusion of sound and movement that swept through the venue.
Mhere’s setlist was carefully curated to ignite the spirit of worship. It was his popular songs “Favour,” “Mwari Ngandiperekedze,” and “Mwari Makatendeka” which truly set the audience ablaze. These songs resonated deeply with the congregation, inspiring them to sway, sing along, and dance with unrestrained joy, creating a vibrant and unforgettable atmosphere. The collective energy of the crowd pulsed like a living thing, a testament to the power of music to connect and uplift.
The electrifying performance at the MMCN Easter Sunday event masterfully showcased the transformative power of music in uplifting congregants and spreading the gospel message. A congregant only identified as Mrs. Waungana, from Ascot had this to say “I am utterly blessed, to the point where I feel spiritually fulfilled. If I were to pass on now, I believe I would ascend directly to heaven. Mathias Mhere’s performance was an extraordinary experience that has left an indelible mark on my spirit.”

Another congregant Pasca Manhivi from Mkoba 7 said “Mathias Mhere’s show was truly powerful. His gospel music resonated deeply with me, and I realized that in a diverse community like MMCN, Christian music serves as a universal language that transcends age, education, and cultural backgrounds. It provides a common ground for people to come together, understand, and enjoy the message of the gospel, ultimately breaking down barriers and fostering unity.”
Through soul-stirring melodies and lyrics, Christian music enables pastors and preachers to effectively communicate the gospel message, resonating with the local community and attracting new followers. The strategic incorporation of music into worship services has been found to profoundly affect the emotional and spiritual well-being of believers, cultivating a sense of unity and devotion among congregants.
PA Pastor Edmore Matatara commended MMCN Founder, Prophet Luke Chivasa, for integrating Christian music into the event, recognizing its potency in touching souls and fostering a sense of community. By leveraging music, the church can engage individuals who might not respond to traditional forms of outreach, nurturing a sense of belonging among believers.
“Music is a powerful language that speaks directly to the soul,” Pastor Matatara stated. “Prophet Chivasa’s vision to incorporate it into the Easter Sunday service was truly inspired. It allowed us to connect with the congregation on a deeper level and spread the message of hope and resurrection in a way that was both engaging and uplifting.”
The MMCN Easter event demonstrated that incorporating Christian music into worship services boosts engagement and participation, leading to a deeper understanding and appreciation of the gospel message. This was beautifully complemented by the church’s powerful praise and worship choir, creating a truly unforgettable experience. As the congregation worshipped together, it was clear that music would continue to play a vital role in the spiritual journeys of believers, inspiring unity, devotion, and a deeper connection with the divine, long after the final note had faded.
