A-34-year-old man from Nebamu Village under Chief Nemangwe in Gokwe South has been arrested after stabbing his younger brother with a knife, accusing him of proposing love to his wife.
The man, identified as Joshua Wonzeri, stabbed his brother Rabson Wonzeri (21) on the chest while coming from a beer drink after an argument where Joshua accused his younger brother of proposing love to his wife.
Rabson is currently admitted at a local hospital in the Midlands.
Midlands Police Spokesperson, Inspector Emmanuel Mahoko, said Joshua is in police custody for the crime.
He narrated how the incident took place.
“… incident took place at Village Nebumu under Chief Nemangwe in Gokwe south. Police have arrested a 34 year old man for stabbing his young brother whom he accused of having proposed love (to) his wife.
“Circumstances are that Joshua Wonzeri (34) and his young brother Rabson Wonzeri (21) were coming from a beer drink.
“Joshua accused his brother of proposing love to his wife and a misunderstanding ensued between them.
“Joshua produced a knife and stabbed his brother once on the chest.
“The complainant was ferried to the hospital where he is admitted and the suspect was arrested,” Inspector Mahoko said.
