A man was sexually assaulted by three unknown suspects who had offered him a lift from Zvishavane to Sandawana, the incident occurred on 10 October 2023 at around 1000 hours in Zvishavane.
It is alleged that the complainant boarded a Funcargo Motor Vehicle at OK Supermarket in Zvishavane intending to go to Sandawana, already on board were two females and a male driver.
It is said that whilst on the way the driver diverted the route and went along another road named Drummond and the two female suspects who were sitting with the complainant at the back passenger seat are alleged to have sprayed the suspect with an unknown substance on the face resulting in him falling unconscious.
It was reported that that the complainant later gained consciousness and found himself in a room with the three suspects and oone of the female suspects forced him to take a brown pill.
It is alleged that the two female suspects took turns to force the complainant to have protected sexual intercourse with him in the presence of their male counterpart as they harvested semen tied in condoms and kept them in a cooler box.
The suspects then searched his pockets and took cash amounting to US$453-00 and his two sim cards before spraying him with the same substance that had made him unconscious before, the complainant fell unconscious and woke up the next morning.
It was reported that the following morning the accused persons forced him again to take the brown pill and they forced him again to have sexual intercourse with the two women ,one of the accused persons assaulted him with a metal object on the head before they drove away.
It was reported that the complainant walked for about 2 kilometres not knowing where he was until he managed to find his way at Grain Marketing board Depot Zvishavane.
Zimbabwe republic police are still investigating the case.
ZRP urges members of the public to use public transport when in transit, and they are appealing to members of the public who might have information pertaining the whereabouts of the suspects to approach any police station.
