A man from Mberengwa was on Thursday murdered by his colleagues over a twist of dagga that they had planned to jointly smoke on the day.
The incident happened at Fani Village, Mberengwa, in the Midlands Province on the 4th on January 2024.
Allegations are that the two men, identified as Tawedzerwa Mahole and Wilfred Tshuma, assaulted their colleague, Legejani Gumbo (23), to death over the mbanje twist which the trio had planned to smoke.
The two have since been arrested and are in police custody.
“In Mberengwa, police arrested Tawedzerwa Mahole, 21, and Wilfred Tshuma, 20, on January 4, in connection with the murder of Legejani Gumbo, 23, at Fani Village.
“The suspects assaulted Gumbo over a dispute involving a twist of dagga they planned to smoke together,” the Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) said.
