JR Goddard employee jailed 15 years for raping maid

A JR Goddard employee who took advantage of his close relationship put the fear into his niece who doubled as his maid before raping her twice has been jailed for 15 years.
The ruthless Samuel Exon Ndlovu (58) threatened the 35-year-old woman with death if she report the abuse to anyone as he carried out the sex attacks on the 28th of December 2023 at around 2000hrs, the court heard.
After the sexual abuse the accused proceeded to his spare bedroom, leaving the complainant behind. The complainant did not reveal the matter to anyone fearing for her life. But his victim gathered courage in January 2024, when she decided to quit the job.
Her uncle, John Sabamba questioned the reason for leaving the job and she narrated the rape case to him. On 8 January 2024 the matter was reported to Maboleni Police station, leading to Ndlovu’s arrest.
The heartless uncle (Ndlovu) who put the fear into his nice and maid before raping her twice on the day was landed an effective 15 year jail sentence by the regional Magistrate, Christopher Maturure.
Although Ndlovu maintained that the sex was consensual, he had taken advantage of his victim’s desperation for employment and used physical threats to control his victim, the State told the court.
‘You threatened her and put fear into her, she had no one to tell her ordeal until her uncle come back. All she wanted was honest work, but you turned her into a sex object for your personal gratification, the versatile state counsel told the regional court.
