A primary school headmaster has landed himself in trouble for an alleged sexual abuse on pupils at Mugwira primary school, in Manoti, Gokwe south.
The case which is still under police investigations by the Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) came to light after images of him squeezing their private parts leaked online, Kwedu Classics has been
told.
The headmaster, only identified as Mr. Mugonesi, has been trending online where his images were shared on various platforms.
Midlands police spokesperson Inspector Emmanuel Mahoko confirmed the development.
“I can confirm that we have received the case and investigations into the matter are currently underway,” said Mahoko without giving much details.
The alleged crime has left parents fuming, after further revelations that Mugonesi was running down the school. A parent who spoke on condition of anonymity said this was evidenced by the school’s 0% passrate at last year’s grade seven Zimbabwe School Examination Council (ZIMSEC) examinations.
Parents are reportedly baying for the perpetrator’s blood.
“We are calling on organisations to do with girl child rights and protection to intervene. This old man has been molesting kids and getting intimate with them. Let us make noise and help these vulnerable girls,” a disgruntled parent said in a Midlands Bureau Diary, a media update WhatsApp group.

Zimbabwe has in the past two months recorded two pregnancies by an eight-year-old and nine-year-old. The nine year old has since given birth, through caesarian. Some sectors of the media say over 20 000 pupils fell pregnant this year.

Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education spokesperson, Taungana Ndoro, while admitting to pregnancies in schools, is on record saying the figures cited by social media were fake.
