Gweru police got the shock of their life after finding a dead body of
a man at a traffic circle near Fairmile Hotel, Bulawayo Road, Gweru on
02 October 2023 at 0600hrs.
“Police officers who were commencing a roadblock nearby discovered the
body. After circulation of information, the body was identified to be
of a local person James Zenzo Nyathi aged 38years of Ascot High
Density Suburb, Gweru, “said Provincial Community Relations Liaison
Officer, Inspector Emmanuel Mahoko.
Insp. Mahoko added that the body was alongside the road and had two
fractures on one of the legs and bruises all over.
“A kitchen knife was found in the pockets of a pair of trousers which
the man was putting on. We appeal for information to establish full
circumstances leading to the man’s demise” he said.
Information about the cause of death was still a mystery by the time
of going to post.
