Celebrating women’s month

The month of March is a special month for women as it is when they commemorate the international women’s day on the 8th of March. During this month women will be celebrating their success, the success of other women who have done it before.
In an interview with Kwedu News,Nozipho Rutsate from women coalitions Zimbabwe (WCOZ ) told this reporter that the month of march is a special month for women because they will be celebrating international women’s day on the 8th of march but they advocate for women 365days a year .
“ We say women’s month but we advocate for women 365 days a year , this month of march is a special month for women because we celebrate international women’s day on the 8th of march ,” said Rutsate
Sharon Stella Musonza a national coordinator from Women of Africa Zimbabwe supported what Rutsate said when she told this publication that the month of March is a special month because it is the women’s month, a month where they will be celebrating their achievements and also commemorating women’s day on the 8th of March.
“The month of march is a special month because we will be commemorating the International Women’s day, a key day for us as it reminds us for our purpose, highlights our key achievements and gives us a chance to join the rest of the world in celebrating our success and reignite the fire to do more as far as advancing gender equality is concerned,” said Musonza
Musonza also told this reporter that as Women of Africa, Zimbabwe they are commemorating this month under the United Nations theme Innovation and Technology for gender equality.
Rosewitter Mastveru WCOZ chairperson kwekwe chapter said the month of March is a special month that has been set aside to celebrate the achievements of women and the milestones they have moved towards fighting for their rights and the enjoyment of their rights.
“The month of March is a special month that has been set aside to celebrate the achievements of women and the milestones they have moved towards fighting for their rights and the enjoyment of their rights, will also be championing in fighting gender inequality and urging people to challenge gender stereotypes ,”said Matsveru
Alice Tagwira from Zheera Trust, a women based organization also said that as they are celebrating women’s month , they are celebrating phenomenal women who have done it before , they have been helping in healing broken souls .
“As a women organization we are helping mending women’s broken souls , we want women to see that there is life after a broken heart , we are doing this through identifying and celebrating heroines who have done it before, ”said Tagwira
Tagwira said they want other women to learn from others who have done it before and also to build a society of empowered women.
