Gokwe, Zimbabwe – Bishop Dr. Nehemiah Mutendi, leader of the Zion Christian Church (ZCC), recently visited Gokwe to unveil the church’s newly purchased helicopter to congregants ahead of the church’s annual pilgrimage.

“The helicopter is a symbol of our growth and commitment to our members,” said Bishop Mutendi. “We are grateful for the loyalty and generosity of our followers, whose efforts have made this possible.”
Bishop Mutendi’s visit was part of a nationwide tour to thank congregants for their contributions towards the purchase of the helicopter. He was welcomed by government officials, traditional leaders, and church members at the Nembudziya Growth Point and the church site in the Mtoro residential area.
According to a ZCC Gokwe official, “Bishop Mutendi’s tour is a way of expressing gratitude to his followers for their loyalty and generosity. Their efforts and contributions were not futile, for they managed to afford a helicopter for their church leader.”
The annual pilgrimage is set to take place from August 3-10 at Defe in Gokwe, and Bishop Mutendi encouraged church members to remain united and attend in large numbers. “Let us come together in unity and strength, and make this pilgrimage a memorable one,” he said.
