Tourist (67) goes missing in Vic Falls National Park

A 67 year old Australian tourist has gone missing, Friday, at the Victoria Falls National Park in Zimbabwe, Matabeleland North Province.
The Zimbabwean Government through the Zimbabwe National Parks and Wildlife Management Authority (ZNPWMA) and the Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) have launched a full scale search team, including sniffer dogs and drones to look for the missing Aussie.
The Victoria Falls, which is one of the sevens listed wonders of the world, known for its majestic falls and vast rainforest, hosts thousands of tourist monthly payment but such cases are rare in the resort.
Speaking to the Associated Press, ZNPWMA Spokesperson, Tinashe Farawo confirmed the missing tourist saying they are on the ground, searching.
“We have a fully-fledged team that includes the police looking for the tourist.
“We have deployed sniffer dogs, drones and trackers on the ground,” Farawo is quoted having said.
Only a handful missing tourists cases have been reported in Zimbabwean parks with the last being reported in October 2023 bit the missing German was found alive and well.
The Zimbabwe Foreign Affairs and Trade Department is also reported that it is providing assistance to the family of the missing Australian.
