Armed robbers attacked a mine in kwekwe

Moss 21 Mine along Harare-Bulawayo road near Truckers in Kwekwe was attacked by armed robbers on 12 April 2023 at around 0100hours.
It is the state’s case that one male employee was alone on duty at the mine when four unknown men arrived, armed with a pistol, a knife and a machete and it is alleged that the four suspects forced him to lied down and they tied his hands and legs .
It is alleged that the suspects went on to search the complainant and took his USD$10 and a cellphone before breaking into the workshop through the roof where they took a generator, grinder, welding machine, two gas cylinders ,one 2 horse power submersible pump ,one fan, a 3kg gas tank and 2Kango black pots.
It is reported that the suspects also forced entry into carbon rooms where they got away with 300kilograms of pregnant gold carbons.
It is reported that the total value of stolen goods is US$18055-00.
ZRP Kwekwe Rural Police are investigated the case and no arrests were made and they are appealing to members of the public for assistance in the investigations of this case.
