Woman (25) Drowns Daughters (3 & 7) Over Suspected Hubby Infedelity

Triangle, Masvingo – A 25-year-old woman from Triangle in Masvingo, on Wednesday January 8, 2025, drowned her two daughters aged three (3) and seven (7) after accusing her husband of infidelity, Kwedu News can reveal.
A report by the Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) says the woman, Blessing Chiromonyo, has been arrested for murder after forcibly jumping into a water canal with her two daughters.
“Police in Masvingo arrested Blessing Chiromonyo (25) for murder which occurred at a water canal at Section 4, Triangle on 08/01/25,” National Police Spokesperson, Commissioner Paul Nyathi confirmed.
“The suspect got hold of her two daughters aged three and seven before diving into the water canal.
“The children drowned after being swept away by water while the suspect managed to get out of the canal unhurt,” he said.
Commissioner Nyathi also said investigations into the incident established that earlier, Chiromonyo, the suspect, had accused her husband of infidelity which could have been the motive.
