The Zimbabwe Republic Police is urgently asking for information about a bold armed robbery that occurred on Tuesday at Pircy Farm in Goromonzi. Six unknown male suspects, armed with machetes and pistols, were involved in the incident.
Police spokesperson Commissioner Paul Nyathi stated, “The suspects gained entry to the farm by cutting through a fence located in the backyard before accessing the kitchen through an open door, where they launched a violent attack on the farm owners.”
The robbers stole around USD 3,000 in cash and various personal items, including clothing, two speakers, three cell phones, laptops, jewelry, groceries, and three firearms.
Comm Nyathi mentioned that police later found two shotguns and a pellet gun discarded in the farm’s backyard, which raises hopes for more evidence to help identify and catch the suspects.
The farm’s security system recorded important footage of the robbery, showing the suspects’ faces and clothing, which may be crucial for the investigation.
“We are appealing to the public for any leads or information that could assist in bringing these criminals to justice,” said Nyathi.
