A 30-year-old serial rapist, Obert Ncube, was sentenced to 31 years in prison for robbing and raping a sex worker and an 18-year-old schoolgirl in Gweru between August and September 2023. Regional Magistrate Christopher Maturure convicted Ncube and handed down the sentence, likening his behavior to that of a “rabid dog”.
