Zim gvt to rehabilitate New Parliament building access roads

The Zimbabwean Government has contracted Bitumen World to rehabilitate and upgrade access roads to the New Parliament building in Mt Hampden.

The project is expected to be complete by the end of July 2024.

In a ground breaking ceremony for the project on Thursday (15/02/2024), officiated by the Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Development, Hon. Felix Mhona, it was revealed that the scope of work will include a 13 kilometer rehabilitation of the old Mazowe road.

The 13km stretch will start from the Westgate traffic circle in the Harare area.

Another 6km stretch linking the New Parliament building to Bindura road will be constructed, the Boulevard Road.

At the new premises, Bitumen world is also set to construct the New Parliament Crescent One loop road which will stretch for almost 5km and another 2kms for the New Parliament building horns.
