On 30 November 2023 at around 0600 hours, two deaths were discovered at Zuvarabuda Complex Empress Business Centre in Zhombe one from murder and the other one being suicide by the murder suspect soon after committing the offence.
The murder victim was identified as Tabeth Nhau aged 31 of Village Muchabaiwa under Chief Njelele in Gokwe, her body was found lying in a pool of blood while the body of her boyfriend Simon Rwasarira aged 25 was found hanging from a roof in the room he was staying nearby.
It is said that Rwasarira’s body was discovered first by his colleague Darlington Dube of Empress Business Centre, who is said to have gone to pick Rwasarira at his place so that they will go on gold panning expedition, he knocked on his door and after getting no response, he is said to have peeped through the window and discovered the body hanging dead.
Dube alerted others and as they went to inform Rwasarira’s girlfriend at her room, they found her body lying in a pool of blood.
Police discovered a cut on Tabeth’s neck suggesting that she was murdered and it is suspected that the two lovers had an issue which degenerated in Rwasarira attacking his girlfriend before committing suicide.
Zimbabwe republic police is investigating the issue and they are kindly inviting anyone with information in connection with the case to assist them.
