A commercial sex worker and her client were pounced upon by a gang of unidentified robbers ,the incident occurred on 8 November 2023 at around 0300hrs at a booking house in Mberegwa.
It is alleged that during the night in question Sandra Sibanda(28) of Vanguard residential surbab in Mberengwa hooked a client and the two booked into a nearby Guest lodge, while they were there, five unknown men forced their door open and gained entry.
One of them hit the man with a knobkerrie, demanding cash ,the man fled , leaving his wallet and the woman behind.
The suspects are said to have took USD$80-00 from the wallet and a small itel cell phone which was under a pillow.
The suspects are alledged to have ordered the woman to follow one of the gang members but she refused , he then slapped her once on the left eye, dragged her to a nearby unfinished house which is under construction and raped her once before ordering her to leave.
Zimbwabwe republic police are doing investigations and are asking members of the public to assist with relevent information that might lead to the arrest of the suspects
