CCC Spokesperson Promise Mkwananzi has fled the country after the Zimbabwe Republic Police issued a warrant of arrest against him.
Mkwananzi took to social media to announce that he made the decision following several attempts by police to detain him.
” Following protracted efforts to get me detained for no crime other than speaking out against a SHAM election. I have summarily left the country..
“I wish to reiterate that I have no pending cases with police. I was cleared of all the flimsy charges previously placed against me…” Mkwananzi said in a press release.
This development comes soon after Police Zimbabwe issued a statement asking for help with the location of messiers Mkwananzi, Mashozhera and Munhuweyi.
