Kwekwe man robbed of car in broad daylight

A 26-year-old Kwekwe man lost his Toyota Bubble motor vehicle to robbers he had given a lift on the 17th of July at around 0200hours in Mbizo extension, Kwekwe.


It is alleged that the victim was drinking beer at Mbizo 4 shopping Centre when he was approached by the suspects who hired him to take them to Mbizo15 and he agreed since he knew some of them as locals.


It is said that the complainant then decided to pass through his house to collect his jersey and he drove his motor vehicle and parked it at the gate, disembarked leaving the key on the ignition.


It is alleged that one of the suspects who was sitting at the back Passenger seat jumped to the driver’s seat and reversed the car, whilst the other suspects threatened to stab the complainant with a knife if he got closer and the suspects drove off leaving the complainant there.


Total value of the stolen vehicle is USD5500-00.
Zimbabwe republic police is appealing to members of the public who might have seen the stolen motor vehicle or with information about the suspects to approach any nearest police station.
