Zim Community in NSW gears up for 2nd ZIMAA gala

Zimbabwean Community in Australia NSW is this year again hosting the 2nd Annual ZIMAA GALA DINNER 2023 on 23/8/2023.

This year the event is going to be bigger and better with 500 guests expected including high ranking Australia government and civic leaders. Also expected special guests include Zimbabwean Embassador to Australia,His Excellency Ambassador Joe Mhishi as well Embassy staff who will be expected to provide consular services during the week leading up to the the Gala Dinner event. Several high ranking church leaders have slso confirmed their attendance this year.

As part of ZIMAA’s thrust to promote new, established and emerging Zimbabwean businesses in NSW there will also be a Business and cultural exhibition & expo and stalls are quickly filling up becsuse of the success of last year’s event.

There will also be great entertainment from Zimbabwe’s best established and upcoming musicians in Australia. In addition this year, professional childcare services will be provided as well as top of the range food to cap the event.

ZIMAA Events Coordinator Oliver Zvinaiye Maboreke told Kwedu News that this is definitely not an event to miss with many prestigious awards on the line. This year’s theme is:

” Celebrating our Zimcentric Cultural identity and Heritage in a new society”. 🇿🇼 🇦🇺
“So do not miss out on this Zimbabwean community flagship event.” Event coordinator Oliver Maboreke said tickets are selling fast with early bird discounts available until 14/6/2023. Event will be taking place at the Liverpool Catholic Club .
