Judith Tobaiwa Kwekwe central constituency MP said she is overwhelmed by the incident that happened at Globe and phoenix, where a grade five classroom block collapsed due to mining activities that are happening at the school.

Tobaiwa said that she is requesting for the authorities to listen to the community as she said the school was condemned a long time ago when EMA submitted their reports condemning the school last year when an ECD classroom developed a crack

“T

he mine is less than 500meters away from the school and it is separated from the school by a fence and according to the law a mine should have certain meter away from the school and the community which is the major cause of this incident because people are practicing illegal mining activities in this area and this should have been prevented if the authorities has listened to the community and the reports that were made a long time ago condemning the school,” said Tobaiwa
