Doctor attacked by robbers in mvuma

Stanford Marangwanda (37) of Morgenster doctors Quarters was robbed of a motor vehicle, cash and property valued at US$21 050-00.
It is the state’s case that on 14 February 2023 at around 2030 hours Marangwanda was robbed along Mvuma-Gweru Road near Downlands Business Centre, Lalapanzi.
It is alleged that Marangwanda was driving a Metallic Silver Volvo XC60 vehicle alone from Masvingo to Gweru and he offered transport to three unknown men at Croco motors bus stop in Masvingo who pretended to be going to Gweru.
It is reported that one of the suspects who was seated at the back seat ordered Marangwanda to stop the vehicle whilst the other suspect who was seating on the front passengers seat produced a knife and pointed it at the complainant, In fear for his life Marangwanda complied with the suspects and they tied his hands and legs with a seat belt thereafter searched his pockets and took a wallet containing US$850-00 cash.
It is said that the suspects drove the vehicle along a dust road towards Mahamara where they dumped Marangwanda in a bushy area and sped off with the motor vehicle.
The suspects are said to have also robbed the complainant of an IPad cell-phone, and I- phone, MacBook Apple laptop, travelling bag containing blankets and various clothes.
Marangwanda reported the case at ZRP police station in Mvuma and the Scene was attended and no arrests or recoveries were made.
The ZRP is still investigating the case and they are appealing to members of the public who might have information leading to the arrest of the suspects and recovery of the stolen property to visit any nearest police.
