Three juveniles all aged 16years and a 38 year old woman were arrested for smoking dagga and unlawful dealing with dangerous drugs respectively, Midlands police has confirmed.
The arrest took place at George Chipadza Secondary School in Zvishavane.
The three minors were caught during the act of smoking dagga by one of the teachers at the school.

In a press release, Midlands Provincial Community Relations Liaison Officer, Inspector Immanuel Mahoko confirmed a police report was made and the three implicated Sibongile Masaire of Zvishavane as their supplier.
“A search was conducted at Sibongile Masaire’s place of residence where 1,35kgs of dagga were recovered,”he said.
Ispector Mahoko said the three minors were released into the custody of their guardians while Sibongile Masaire is held in custody.

In a separate incident and at Village Ziyabangwa, Chief Wedza, Zvishavane, Police recovered a total seventy five plants of dagga with an average height of two metres from a garden belonging to one only identified as LOYD SIBANDA.

The recovery follows a tip off received by police in Zvishavane who swiftly reacted to the information. Efforts to locate LOYD SIBANDA are in progress.

“We appeal to members of the public to desist from drug abuse and value their health. On the other hand parents and guardians of young children are called upon to conscientise them to shun drugs and substance abuse as it is dangerous to health,” Insp. Mahoko said.

He further appealed for any information that may assist in the arrest of LOYD SIBANDA and those with the information to approach any nearest police station.
