55year old rapes 11yr old,gives her $US2

Zimbabwe Republic Police is urging parents and guardians to monitor young children particularly young girls when they play and where possible accompany them to and from school for their safety.
ZRP Midlands province spokesperson inspector Emmanuel Mahoko said this call for children’s safety comes in connection with a rape case of a 11 year old girl by a 55year old man in Masvina village chief Nemangwe in Gokwe.


The incident is said to have occurred in November 2022 in a bush in the village, Police investigations unearthed that in the build up to the day of the rape the now accused man had given the victim money twice after meeting her on the first instance he gave her USD $10 and on the second occasion he gave her $2USD.


It is alleged that on the fateful day, the accused met the victim and demanded intimacy with the girl in return for the money he had given her, he then dragged the victim into the bush and forced himself on her.
It is said that the suspect has since been arrested and answers to the name Michael Ncube who resides in village karikecheze in Gokwe.
Zimbabwe Republic Police Midlands province said young children must be discouraged from accepting gifts from strangers and distant people.
